Sayan, 22, Student, Bad Zoden, Germany
“Most of all I like German perfectionism, punctuality, and a wide selection of pastries for breakfast :)”
Hello! My name Sayan, I am 22 years old. Originally from Kostanay, I currently live in Germany.
Having graduated from the Department of Physics and Mathematics at the Kostanay State University, I left Kazakhstan for Germany in search of new experiences, knowledge and acquaintances.
Now I live in a small town Bad Soden (Germany), which is about 40 minutes by train from Frankfurt am Main. I liked this provincial town immediately for its abundance of clean parks, helpful people, and tranquility.
When it’s hot I like to swim in the open city swimming pool, when it’s raining I spend time in the library reading German literature. By the way, reading is my hobby. In addition I like taking random pictures of everything I see. Fortunately, there are a lot of things to take photos of in Germany, and it’s one of the reasons why I chose this country. Most of all, I like German perfectionism, punctuality, and a wide selection of pastries for breakfast :).
I left Kazakhstan for various reasons, which included achildhood dream to live far away.I haven’t been home yet this year. I keep in touch with family and friends via Skype and hundreds of different applications, so I don’t feel particularly nostalgic (thanks to 21st century technologies).
At the moment I am doing an intensive German course at one of the High Schools for Adults (VolkHochSchule) in order to enrol in a university in the near future. The questions I am most frequently asked are: how much does it cost to study in Germany, how to sign up for it, how to find an accommodation, how is visa issued… and a bunch of other different questions. I am always glad to help and share my experience.
